Tam's pedigree

We first met Tam when she was just about a year and lived at Imagineer's in Ohio. During visits at Eric and Gemi's home I later on over the years could see her grow and mature. What made it special to meet her was that she is a full sister to Windy's, and later on Nelly's, dam, Sami Jo. It was a true pleasure to see how much they had in common, both concerning breed type and mentallity.

Tam is a very confident and friendly lady, who loves to be cuddled and spoken with, but doesn't hesitate a bit to defend her property against strangers who could be a threat.  We really appreciate her strong mind, her interest in objects that easily makes her find and retrieve things and her great heart that makes her try over and over again and seldom quit. Traits that in our eyes make her a true Aussie. Since released from the quarantine , she has been busy figuring out how far she can go with begging and trying to get herself some extra food. Except that, she has started her obedience training and some basic field work exercises. Although being raised in USA and not being worked in our way with tracking etc. from young age, she easily picks up what you ask of her. She has passed both her basic mental test and the mental profile description. December 2000 she gave birth to our first litter of ten pups, five males and five female and 14 month later, in january 2002 she whelped another litter of ten, once again five males and five females. Talk about being consistent.

Tam is blue merle and white, but without tan. She also is a true "grinner", she often raise her lips in a big "smile" which easily, by people who have never seen this before in a dog, can be mistaken for showing her teeth in a growl. She "clicks" her teeth loudly when something makes her really happy or when she fosters her pups.

Being presented for sheep for the first time summer of 2000, she showed good interest and after some really bad bumps from a mean ram, she was back the day after teaching them how to behave.

Being shown in a limited way she ended up with a breed certifikate aswell as some BOS- placements. Even though Tam was over 4 years and raised under different circumstances when she arrived to Sweden she easily adjusted and kept learning new things. She developed new playing habits and started fetching aswell as changed some of her obedience behaviours really quick, aswell as understand how to track and run short reporting trails.  We have a saying in Sweden that goes: " It is hard to teach an old dog how to sit." We do not agree and Tam has shown us, over and over again, that our opinion is true, at least when it comes to real Aussies. It isn't hard at all to to teach an old dog to sit if it is a good dog.

Tam's full sister F. Sami Jo, during the last year has achieved not only "SBK:s Korningsdiplom", a diploma for a certain amount of offspring who have passed the mental/conformation- test KORNING, but also earned the honour of being given the Swedish Kennel Club prize for  high working trial meriths on her offspring.  Her offspring from different litters also made their part of helping Mr Binsk to achieve SKK:s Breeder prize for working dogs. Certainly prestigious titles for which we congratulate both SamiJo's owners and breeder. It feels good to know that our first opinion that SamiJo had a lot of good traits to leave on to her offspring now is objectively proved.

Tam and SamiJo, have another full sister, Fairoaks Jami Jo, who is the dam of WTCH Imagineers Bushfire Blond ( Abby). Abby achieved her WTCH title at the age of 15 month, and with that is one of the youngest to achieve the ASCA WTCH title. Both Tams sire, Fairoaks Atreyu, and her litter brother Fairoaks Smokey Lonesome have working titles. Tamäs brother F. Red Tailed Hawk is a SAR-dog and was one of the dogs who worked at the WTC rescue operation. Later on when a statue to honour  rescue workers all around America was made, Hawk was the model for the canine part of the statue. We are really proud of the work he and his owner Cathy  (an of course all the other rescue workers) did there. We just hope for at least a part of the courage  Hawk had to show doing his work, is to be found in Tam to. Tam had a litter in the USA before she came here and in September 2001 a bitch from her first litter got her first Agility titles.

Tam gave birth to her first litter in Sweden, sired by SUCH SBCH SLCH Mr Binks Tuxedo, in December 2000. Her second litter, with LPI The Mad Hatter of Imagineer CGC,  are born in January, 2002 and her third and last litter are born in January 2003 out of VCH WTCh CH Gabrielinos Charlie Chaplin.

Now at an age of nine Tam is retired, but that isn't influensing her at all. She still both looks and acts as a young dog. For a short period she was meant to stay with Lars Ernholm in Kristinehamn. But as the opinionated dog Tam is she quickly decided that she got herself a new person who needs her. She is always very happy and playful when she comes for a visit. But as soon as she can see signs that the master she now owns is heading for the car she raises him there (and always wins of course) and looks at us like " sorry guys have to go HOME now, you'll manage". And with Tams best in our minds we have to realize that she prefers to stay with her new family. We can only wish a long and happy retirement for her and that she comes and visits often. Luckily we still have parts of her here through her kids.
