WINDEDOS JET STREAM

Hedvig's call name here is most often "super mouse" since she is not only the smallest but only the fastest of our dogs. Whatever she focuses on doing she does it to 100 % no matter if it is about chasing one of the other dogs, greet people, defend her belongings towards the other dogs or work the sheep.

So far we can see a lot of her dam Tam in Hedvig, and we hope that Hedvisg will carry her dams great traits on if we in the future decide to use her for breeding. But being just 18 month there still is a lot more to see and evaluate before we take that decision ........

So far we have taken Hedvisg through a couple of Herdring clinics since fall 2003 and she shows that she has some working heritage to lean back on. So far she has just been working sheep but this summer (2004) we will let her start working cattle as she showed great interest and some abilities at the first exposure. Hedvig also work on obedience with Lena, but at the moment more or less the obedeince that is needed when working stock. Training for obedience trials will have to wait a bit more. She also started her tracking education this summer.

Hedvig has been to a couple of shows. First time she was placed second with HP after her litter sister "Bob", second time she went BoB with her brother Diesel BoS and went on to BIS2 among 25 other breeds. Third time she ended up second with HP. It is great to see that also dogs bred for working can be placed at a show and have a nice conformation.
